Unity Learn Premium...for FREE - More free stuff coming your way due to our current situation. A couple of weeks ago, Unity announced they were giving all users access to Unity Learn Premium for free for the next few months (until June 20th)! What's that mean? You have access to hundreds of their advanced tutorials for free (with access to all the assets packages needed to work on those tutorials). You get access to Unity experts, live sessions (there's a whole new slate of them coming this week and every week), and a ton of on-demand learning resources. All you have to do is log into your Unity account on their website and you are in! Click the image on the right for more. If you compete any of these tutorials, let me know which ones you liked (I think I'm going to do the live session this week on creating caves using new terrain tools with Unity 2019.3).
Check Out All Our Customizations of "Brick Breaker" - Click on the Game Design Tab > Virtual Classroom - Gaming > Customize "Brick Breaker". There's a ton of you that haven't submitted yours yet...so please submit as soon as you can so we can play each other's games! Yes you are creating these games as assignments for me. But I want you creating them for each other as well and getting ideas of things you could have done to yours for future games.
Can't Click Your Name? - If you can't click your name, it's because I don't have your link you were suppose to share with me when you were done. Please submit through the Google Form as soon as you can (by clicking here)
Today's Tasks/Assignment:
Introduction into Today's Lesson (from the Ready Games website): Pong is one of the earliest arcade video games and the very first sports arcade video game. It is a table tennis sports game featuring simple two-dimensional graphics. The aim of the game is for the PLAYER to score on the COMPUTER while defending its GOAL. In this project, the COMPUTER is programmed with basic artificial intelligence so it can respond to the PLAYER.
Watch Today's Video - Click the link on the image to the right to begin working on today's tutorial for the classic Atari game "Pong". You will only complete Slides #4-9 (don't worry about Slide #10; I will create our own customization directions for Wednesday).
Please complete by tomorrow (Google Form to turn in is below). I'll have directions for customizing this project later on Wednesday.
