Which Would I Rather Lose... - This was a tougher question than I thought. I would probably have to say I would rather lose the pictures. So much of my memorable pictures are in my head and I could live without physically seeing them. Without money and valuables, it would be tough to take new pictures (thus taking a snapshot of those memories). Curious to see what all of you will say as this is a tough one...
One Place I Want to Travel To... - That's tough...there are so many places I want to travel to! I would love to cheat and say "Europe" in general but I know that's broad. I would probably pick Great Britain where it's so rich in history and has some breathtaking scenery (the pictures I see of Ireland are incredible). Plus being a sports fan, it would be incredible to see the passion of football over there.
Be rich and miserable or decent living and love what I do?? - For me this is easy...I would rather making an average wage and love what I do! And honestly, I'm living that now! I walked away from a beginning career (in accounting) that would have me making more money now (if I had stayed in it) but got out of it after a year and a half to get into teaching. I knew the money wouldn't be as good making the switch. But it's a decision I have never regretted because today I still love my job and I still make a salary I won't ever complain about. Find something you love to do every day and do it!
Office Hours - Beginning this week, I will make myself available from 9:30 to 10:00 AM every Tuesday and Thursday morning on Zoom in case you have any questions you want to ask me on your Create PT or if you and your partner want to go into a breakout room to discuss your project together. This is completely optional and not required. But please understand, I can only answer questions you have regarding directions about the Create PT or technical issues you may be having. I cannot give you feedback on the project, written responses, etc. I will still answer your questions via Remind messages or emails if you prefer that method as well. Zoom IDs and Passwords will be sent out just before I'm scheduled to go online.
When is the Last Day I Can Turn In Work? - Even though we are a couple of weeks away, it's important to start talking about when late work is due. All missing work needs to be turned in as soon as you can get it into me. However the last day I will accept ANY missing work is Friday, May 8th. It's important to understand I will NOT accept ANY missing work after this date. This is of course with the exception of your Explore and Create PTs into your CollegeBoard Portfolio (which will be due after this date).

This Week's Tasks/Assignment:
Taking a Much Needed Break- In last Friday's Check In Form, a number of you stated that you were caught up and were taking a break. Good Call! As I mentioned before, I want you starting the Create PT fresh and ready to go. So my hope is you are good to go and you are about to start!
If you are ready to begin, start with these steps:
Fill out the Google Form you see on the "Create Performance Task" page (you will only have to fill this out one time; but fill it out only when you are ready to begin)
Download these two documents from that same "Create Performance Task" page:
Create PT Survival Guide (you may want to look at these pages for the planning/start of your project: Pages 9-13)
Programming Journal - each day you work on your Create PT, you will fill in one of the entries. I will collect the 1st three entries this Friday, May 1st; if you are not done with three of them by this Friday, that's OK and you'll just submit them to me when you are done. The assumption is most of you will be at least three days into your Create PT by this Friday.
