What Is A Daily Boot Up?
When you boot up (or turn on) a computer for the first time during the day, you are getting your computer thinking and ready for use. In our class, your warmups during the first part of class do the exact same thing! Throughout the school year, your Daily Boot Ups (also known as your warmups) will either help review material we looked at the day before or serve as an introduction to the topic we will discuss that day. Daily Boot Ups are also important indicators as to what I will ask on a quiz so make sure to look them over (as well as your notes).
Your Daily Boot Ups will be completed on my blog that's connected with this website. On days you are absent from class, you are still responsible for the Daily Boot Up you missed (if there was one; always check my blog). As such throughout the semester, I will always have a running list of the Daily Boot Ups that need to be completed.
It is advised that you create a bookmark on your Symbaloo homepage that goes directly to the "Blog Entries" page (as I will never write the Daily Boot Up on the board; instead I will direct you to this page).
