Most of us don't notice the "camera" in a game until it does something badly. Once the action is obscured or we wrestle with an objective because we can barely see it, the movement of the camera takes center stage. It's almost always a horrible thing. Ideally the camera should be all but invisible, allowing the scene to be shown to its fullest while helping us feel whatever the heck the game would like us to feel at that moment.(Opening Paragraph by Ben Kuchera).

Shadow of the Colossus shows good camera movement because when riding the horse, the player is put to the side to show the landscape. The camera also pulls back to show speed. It's also naturally appealing to the eyes. These techniques help make the horse ride more appealing.

One of the games they talked about in the video was the Legend of Zelda. This game uses good camera movement because of the way that you can set the camera based on how you set up the wind sail. By doing this, the protagonist can choose the type of camera angle that they want when sailing. I think that other games should adopt this type of camera flexibility.

The one game is Shadow of the Colossus. The camera movement in the game was a 1/3, so it's pleasing to the eye. It also gives more scenery so we don't have to focus mainly on the character. it also gives the character more speed because the camera is lagging behind the character. In the Legend of Zelda when using the wave runner the camera zooms in because they expect you to go the direction you changed the sail too and that there is no reason to see the rest of the ocean. This is an example of a good camera angle.

In a game called the last guardian, it's usage of camera is very well. Whenever there is danger and your character enters the area of where the danger is, the camera focuses on the danger. But it does not show all of the danger that is there, only what type of danger. In this game, the camera follows the character well, you can also change the camera to the creature, and in small spaces, the camera zooms in on the character and shows partially the ground and what is in front of him. Also, if the two characters reach a new area, the camera shows the view and area they are at. That is why this camera usage is done well.

3. In Twilight Princess, the horse is in the middle of the screen and does not give enough room for the rest of the landscape to be seen. In Shadow of the Colossus, it made the horse a little bit to the side of the screen giving more room to see the landscape. I think that you are supposed to make sure that the camera is spaced properly on the screen so that it gives you an idea of the vastness of the land. It is important to make sure that this is included.

In Metal Gear Solid, I believe the camera angle is one of the very few games that uses the camera angle to show the character above them. In my personal opinion, I believe the camera angling is good because it leaves the character a chance to always check corners and areas where they can't see. It also helps them remember where to go easier since some levels involve narrow hallways. It gives a chance for the player to look and check what the enemies look like since it is a stealth game.

One of the games the video talked about was Twilight Princess. This game's camera movement helps show how and where the horse is running to from the top angle to show more of the floor. This camera movement is good because it portrays the speed of the horse. This camera angle could also be bad because of how it shows most of the floor and less of the landscape than it should.

Shadow of the Colossus framed the player to the side of the screen to let you see the environment more. It sets the camera at a low angle to show the vastness of the world. It uses camera movement good because it gives you stuff to look at rather than just the player. It uses the rule of thirds as well. It also zooms the camera out when you are going fast to show a sense of speed.

In the game Shadow of the Colossus they used really good camera movement. When riding a horse wonder is pushed over to the side giving the landscape a wider view the low angle also give you a better idea on how big things are. The camera also pulls back while riding a horse to give a sense on how fast it is going. The games camera also uses the rule of thirds that is why it is so pleasing to the eyes.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker uses good camera angles to zoom in and focus on the subject the player is aiming towards. To move from one island to another, the player is required to change the wind direction towards the island they want to go to. This allows the game to know which island they want to go towards. When the island they want to go towards is a distance away, the camera changes focus from the vastness of the ocean towards the island.

Shadow of the Colossus has a very clever and breath taking camera movement. When traveling in the vast empty landscaped the game takes place in the camera is moved to a low angle. With this low angle camera movement, the surrounding mountains and cliffs look much bigger than what they really are. This is extraordinary camera movement because it plays into the games reoccurring topic of you are nothing but an ant facing against these giant monsters.

One of the games mentioned with good camera use is Super Mario Galaxy 2. Whenever you start a level, the game gives the player a cinematic view of the level, allowing them to prepare of what's to come. Even after that, when you arrive to the level, the camera stays at an open view until the player moves. The camera does a good job at explaining what the player needs to do to progress. The game also has a first-person mode camera to get a better look at the levels.

The video had named the 3D Mario games and how the camera displays parts of the screen that will indirectly lead you to your objective. Such as enemies close by or a puzzle on the edge of your screen will prompt the player to move towards the puzzle to solve it or defeat the enemies. the camera begins far out to give a nice view of the level before actually starting to add a sense of direction. the camera can also limit vision to direct a player to a certain spot or area.

1. The video talks about the camera angling of Shadows of Colossus. They talk about how the game angles the camera when the player is riding a horse. In contrast to how Zelda does it, Shadows of Colossus angles the camera in a way for the scenery and the ride to feel cinematic. The reason for this effect is a camera squares rule and placing the player in a certain square of the frame gave the horse ride sequence its cinematic feel.

This is done super well as your camera angle is pointed down to let you see more of the higher structures. The camera pulls back to give more of a illusion of speed. Specops was one game where the camera moved. It was called an oversaturated genre but how the colors and visuals looked was a whole other story. the colors in general was aesthetically pleasing for how it would draw your eye to like the city in the distance. Another would be how it would make the terrain look farther and longer than what it really is giving it that illusion.

The Legend of Zelda - Windwaker, while sailing the camera shifts to focus on the direction the player has decided to set sail. It obscures what is behind the player to highlight where the player is going. The Dark Souls Franchise; utilizes third person camera movement and is equipped with a lock onto target feature where the camera can lock onto a specific and selected target the player is facing against in battle. Mainly this is seen as good camera movement when locked correctly and effectively. Otherwise the camera is a free-roam camera simply following the player-character keeping it in the middle of the screen. Poorly handled, this camera mechanic is bad since the camera will not turn to look where the character is looking, this will have to be done manually. This camera's main function is to keep the player model somewhat centered and that is all.

1. The Legend of Zelda, The Windwaker. This game has a good camera angle because you don't even notice it. For example when sailing if you change the wind direction the camera moves in the same direction. In other Zelda games, the camera will be set lower if there is a tall landscape to really set the scale. If the landscape is vast again it will zoom out and capture the size of the world, with your character still in perspective.

Color can effect the story of a game depending on the genre. Players can receive information by another character in most games or by text in most games as well. The position of the camera only differ on what or where the character goes based on the player pressing on the controller. Also in Mario Bros the camera angle moves with Mario.

In Metal Gear Solid they use many ways in camera movement. For example the camera would shift if pressed up against the wall. Another example is that a distant enemy can look normal sized but can also not be the size you thought. In Mario games it tries to tease areas by the camera angle by showing enemies and the puzzles.

One game that has good camera movements is Mario. It gives you a good idea about the level because it shows a far view of the level when gliding in. It gives you a sort of sense of direction when you start also. It also shows little parts of the next level so you know what's going to happen and you aren't blindsided by bosses and obstacles.

In the Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess the camera while riding Epona has Epona smack dab in the center and we mostly see the ground. This is bad because you can't see anything around you. The mobs can come up from the sides and you cant see what Epona looks like while riding.

When one plays a game, their POV is important. How well the system generates movement and how smoothly it is able to show you around, with your own control. Of course, you can change your controller settings/sensitivity to help with this, whether it be too slow or too fast. Overall a game needs good graphics, well-advanced controls, and a good POV/camera setting in order to portray the good image they wish to put out for their game.

One of the games that was explained in the video that uses cameras in a useful way are 3D Mario games. The game that was used for the example is Super Mario Galaxy, and the way the camera was used allowed the player to see more. Luckily, the camera isn't locked behind Mario. If the camera was locked behind Mario, you wouldn't be able to see certain things that you need to see. For example, in the video, the player needs to see everything around them to be able to see clues for that puzzle without having to go on a different side of the platform to see more. This camera usage is very useful, as it helps the player and is more pleasant to look at.

Spec ops the line did a great job by exposing the various colors surrounding the player. By using the mix of dull colors in the beginning to really give the feel that its going to be dull at the start but there's a city in the distance with life. Gives the player sense there's going to be a lot more conflict as you make your way towards the city. Once the destination has been reached it washes out the colors to give the dark mood it was addressing.

This game uses cameras well by framing the shots just so that the next part of the puzzle is visible enough to give the player a clue to what would be the next step towards the solution. One of the ways this is used is in the way that a certain platform could be barely visible, but just enough to allow the player to know what happens next. The wide sweeping motion of the camera in this game also allows the player to have a short look at what the level entails and maybe how to get around it.

One of the games mentioned in the video that demonstrated poor camera use was Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. The shortcomings of the camera that were greenlit in the video was the generic and unappealing, as it directed the players eye's to the ground and made the basic graphics and empty landscapes more apparent. Although not mentioned in the video, from personal experience I can say that the rest of the game, uses the camera very well for puzzles, in a very similar way to Ocarina of Time, specifically in the later level dungeons where both lighting and locked camera angles were used. I believe the hardware limitations of the Wii was the reason for this.

1. The camera is so important in games because they are harder to place than in movies and every detail has to precise and proportional to the environment. If the camera is misplaced, the scene would look odd because it will be distracting or boring. But the bad use of camera will make you not progress at all.

Honestly the one game that caught my eye was Shadow of the Colossus and the way it's camera plays out during the game. In many games it's important for the camera to have a balance between showing the environment as well as the players position in that environment without being too obstructing, and I think this game shows to do that well. It keeps the character at a reasonable distance from the camera and off to the side in order to allow a good viewing of the landscape and where the character needs to go. Along with that, the scenes with the horse are impressive as they move the camera down to make the already vast landscape seem even more immense giving the environment a really intimidating sort of feel. To overall top it all off I really liked how they used the rule of thirds for character position as well, as it's just a satisfying use of the camera.

In the game The Legend of Zelda Windbreaker the camera changed when you switched the direction of the sail when you were sailing somewhere. In my opinion the camera switching directions is bad because people don't want to just see one side of the boat because they could miss something. If they could have a further camera angle they would be able to see way more than just the side of the boat. I would also be better if the player had the option to change the camera angle.

The camera is important in the game because sometimes gamers wants to be sneaky and we want to sneak safely. Bad cameras can make you dizzy and everyone hate it. Everything matters especially in a game, and if you have a bad camera movement it can cause bad feedback from people who play it, it doesn't matter how great the graphic is but once the camera movement is bad its bad.The legend of Zelda did a pretty good camera movement its third person where you can see everything around and you and also things in front of you.

One of the games talked about were the Metal Gear Solid series. This series used a top down perspective, but as this game uses stealth mechanics, it is important to look around corners. So on command the player can change the camera view from top down to behind corners. This camera view is used in horror movies a lot when someone is hiding from the killer or monster.

1. One of the games that the video talked about was MGS or Metal Gear Solid. The video very heavily emphasized on the fact the game had very good camera mechanics and how if you decided to do a certain actions, the camera would move with you. Also the camera would move if you proceeded to another room, allowing you to see more. This is very useful because if you are tracking your target and you cannot see them, all you would have had to do was slide up against a wall and then the camera will move down and you will be able to see your target. Most games do not think that the camera isn't too important, so they don't work to hard on that, but if you want to play a game right, then you need a good camera angle, and good camera mechanics.

In the Super Mario Supermassive Galaxy they used a good use of the camera. They angled the camera to show the platform and where you need to go and finish the level. Well majora's mask has a pretty sucky camera because it's fixed so you really have no other choice than to kinda suffer not seeing the enemy.So for one I can't see the enemy that's a pretty big dilemma.Two I can't fix the camera myself so that's something to be said even going into the settings won't fix it.Well in general it's pretty bad.

The Mario game has a good camera movement. This is because that when Mario(the player) arrives at a level, the camera lets the player to see what the rest of the level is like. This would help the player to complete the level, making the challenges not surprising. This is a big advantage of the game.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 uses camera movement correctly. In the game, the camera is positioned so the player can see the entirety of the level before starting. Furthermore, the camera is positioned well during puzzles because of the fact that it hints the player at how to beat the level. This game uses good camera movement to guide the player (child) to beat the level.

For the 3d Mario games the camera is zoomed out to how you what to do. For example the player would see a pound symbol and below that a big hole with enemies, the player would pound that block and it would fall down and they already know there are enemies. Another situation would be that you are on a island and you see 3 pound blocks along as something underneath, you go underneath and there is more to explore. Mario camera is very important as it helps player solve the level easily as it is for children.

The game Mario does a good job with the camera movement. It shows where you have to go and what you will see as you progress in the game. When you first start you fall into the level giving you a clear view of whats ahead. Also when you are playing as the character and moving around the camera is above the character which shows you whats ahead. It also moves with your character as you move. There is no points where your character is facing towards the camera and you can't see whats ahead.

In Mario Galaxy, the camera shows a big picture pf the world at the beginning then zooms in and moves with the player's character as it moves around. In a standstill position the camera scene shows just enough to indicate to the player where to move next to get to the next step of the game level. This game has a good use of camera movement during the game given the intended audience. since the audience is for younger adolescence the camera pans just enough for the player's to figure where to go and where the next objective is.

One of the examples that the video used was Super Smash Bros. In the video, it says that the camera is used to show the safe zone of the stage. Another example is Super Mario where they also use the camera to show the safe zone while you proceed forward in the level. Super Mario also has a feature in the beginning of the levels where it gives a lower angle that shows more map coverage to see what the level is going to be like.

The one of the game the video talked about is called Shadow of Colossus. This game use good camera movement in the game because shoved over to the side to give the landscape more screen presence, the lower angle also helps exaggerate the vastness of the landscape the world in Shadow of Colossus contains of a lot of high structures and high cliffs. So by having a lower angle you get a better view of their sizes.

The man talked about many games but and of the games was a military war game and you could sneak around and when you were in a corner you could peak the camera angle so you could see the enemy. and when it was dark you could see enemies from the shadow of the flood lights.

In Mario galaxy, the camera always goes in such a position where you can see a good portion of the level before you even start. You can see exactly where your next objective might be and you'll immediately know to head there. If your objective is to hit a block, that block will be visible from the very start telling you to head in that direction. You can even see your next few objectives too.

They had talked about how Mario Galaxy and about the different types of camera angels thats inside of the game where it shows parts of the level at the start. The game uses very great camera movement as they follow the charcter and gives the player a good birds eye view what is ahead of them. The camera angle moves along with the charcter as it moves throughout the level focusing on the character. As the map rotates so does the character like the camera follows the the chracter as it goes throughout the level in many different circumstances.

1) Camera is very important for the games because it is the backbone of the game. It is the thing that nobody notice but it is important to the game because if there is no camera the game doesn't exist. In that video i also see that camera motions and direction matter because otherwise it can effect your game play. if you have good camera rotation and motions your game is almost get the good response and it is also an achievement.

The camera is important because its used as how to progress in the game. Silent Hill Downpour is a great example of abysmal camera movement there's sometimes where its normal but then there's some scenes in which the camera is at one corner of the room and it shows the rest of it.

Camera is one of the important feature in the game. When playing Mario cart, camera gives you information about who is behind you and in front of you, and what's going to happen next. Camera rotation makes game more vivid like the player is actually in the game depending on FPP, or TPP games.

one of the games they talked about was super Mario galaxy. In it the camera movements are very fluid and tend to help the player know what to do without creating a confusing perspective. at the begin of several stages they give you a panoramic view of what you're generally going to get into as it shows shots of areas you will being explore and you briefly fly around the stage right before beginning. They also use different types of camera movements as you play the game, as in some areas have a set camera that follow the player at a side angle, creating a 2D environment. Other times the camera will follow the player as you move throughout the stage and it has a sort of fluid movement as well as it adjusts to the players desires direction or motion, never quite letting the player out of focus but never jerking the camera to maintain that focus. the game also uses another form of camera movement where the camera will be set in a set spot and will swivel to the character (the camera stays on the character but doesn't move around with them).

I noticed that Forza Motorsports and all of the call of duty uses good camera and i thing that camera and lighting do matter about the game and that is why there game is so good people might think that it dosent matter but the camera and lighting makes the game look good
